Spring Contact Improvisation Intensive Weekend with Caroline Waters
Caroline returns to Munich for a Contact workshop that examines the fundamentals of the dance. Suitable for beginners and those with experience to deepen their understanding of the underpinning principals of Contact Improvisation. Fun and informative.

Caroline Waters is an International Dance/Theatre Practitioner dedicated to the craft of Improvisation in Performance and the study of Contact Improvisation. Originally trained by Steve Paxton, (with whom she pioneered the work of contact with the visually impaired), Mary Fulkerson Kirstie Simson, Katie Duck etc in the mid 80?s and also participated in various workshops by Nancy Stark Smith, Simone Forti, Julyen Hamilton etc (to name a few). Constantly traveling she has participated in work traversing North America and Mexico, has taught and performed throughout Europe and Eastern Europe, and is currently developing Contact in Russia and Japan.
When not travelling, teaching and performing internationally she has been an Associate lecturer at Dartington College of Arts UK. Where she has been able to develop her collaborative practice with artists from many Continents and Art Forms
Over the past 11 years She has participated in 7 European Contact Improvisation Teachers Exchange, being in the organisation team for 3 of them, in the UK, Hungary and Russia, She is also on the team to organise the next Conference in the UK again in 2009. During that time she spent 5 years as Co-editor of Contact Connection a UK based, Contact newsletter, which tried to transfer to the web, but is now just an information site for Contact events.
As an organiser she has also been on the Team for CI25 in the USA, The Dartington Improvisation Festival 2000, and is a member of the Contact Moscow team. She has most recently been an intensive teacher at the Freiberg festival 2007.
