Contact Improvisation's 36th Birthday Celebration
Hosted by Juniata College and Contact Quarterly/Contact Collaborations Inc., CI36 will be a time to honor & celebrate the existence of Contact Improvisation through dancing, study, performance, reflections, and exchange with hundreds of practitioners, teachers, founders, and developers of CI from around the world.
Joining us will be Andrew Harwood (Canada), Dieter Heitkamp (Germany), Martin Hughes (Australia), Tica Lemos (Brazil), Nita Little (California), Nina Martin (Texas), Steve Paxton (Vermont), Nancy Stark Smith (Massachusetts), Benno Voorham (Sweden/Netherlands), and many more.
3-DAY TRAINING INTENSIVE
June 8-11, 2008 (arriving Sunday afternoon, June 8)
(open to those registering for both TI and Celebration)
Veteran teachers, four simultaneous tracks, led warm-ups, evening jams
6-DAY CELEBRATION
June 12-18, 2008 (arriving Thursday, June 12)
Classes, presentations, performances, jamming, talk structures, CI paper and video library, labs and spontaneous events organized by 30+ international curators.
