Contact Improvisation
NEXT STEPS with Robert Anderson This eight-week course will offer skills and strategies to explore the playful physics of contact improvisation. The aim will be to develop our dancing into new dimensions. Classes are open for those with some experience in contact who want to become more attuned to the subtleties of touch, direction and intention. There will be progression of material over the weeks so attending the full course is recommended. |

CI with Rick and Simonetta
This course will start with a brush up of CI basics and quickly progress towards more intermediate skills. Classes will begin with a somatic focus to create calm physical awareness in preparation for communication with a partner. We will use technique as an instrument to playfully push our dancing into new territories. Open dancing at the end of each session will encourage practice, enjoyment and sweat. |

WHAT
Open CI Jam The contact jams held at the place are open to dancers, musicians and other improvisers. They are free of charge. Sometimes there is a led warm up to bring the dancers into contact with each other. Sometimes the space is just left open. Beginners are very welcome. (Please note that it is not a class so everyone is responsible for their own participation in the jam. |
