New regular open improvisation jams in Glasgow Coordinated by Tom Pritchard and Penny Chivas in association with Dance House A regular improvisation jam in Glasgow, open to all wanting to explore, play and jam. Each jam will begin with a 30 minute led physical warm up by the designated facilitator and then the space will be offered as a space for cooperative exploration of improvisation in its myriad forms. They will take place on the middle (second) Friday and last Sunday of each month, plus an extra floating jam with guest teachers on various days and at various venues! |

LIVERPOOL CONTACT IMPROVISATION SUNDAYS
These 2 sessions are open and designed for people interested in movement and improvisation either as beginners or those with more experience. We have designed an hour’s lunch break between the class and the jam. If you are just coming for the afternoon Jam it would be advisable to come a little earlier to warm up The Class will be taught by experienced Contact Improvisers who will offer skills for moving safely and efficiently, finding fluidity, energy and strength whilst dancing alone or with a partner. The Jam offers opportunities to expand the dance in a more ‘open’ situation where the focus is on the dancing as opposed to the teaching. There will be a led introduction and ending to the Jam. Live music may be an additional part of these sessions. |
