DESCRIPTION
Winter theme is THE BODY - attending to the body.
This is not a class but a session, open to all abilities and from different disciplines. It often includes some experienced Contact Improvisers and is mostly made up of dancers. There has always been at least one musician playing live. Session begins with a simple warm-up and each evening I present (or briefly discuss) a theme to help us get together, feel safe and be inspired. (This winters themes will be body related so that we can find ways to look after our bodies in the cold AND let our imaginations lead.) |
BMCBody- Mind Centering® is an essential training for professionals and practitioners in Health, Education and Community settings working with communication, learning, support, relationship and personal development. Based in neurological developmental patterns and experiential anatomy the courses provide a deeply informed experience and methodology for working with others. People attending the courses come from varied backgrounds including, medical, health and social care, arts therapies, occupational and physio-therapy, special education, education, somatic practices including pilates and yoga, and alternative/holistic therapies.
Embody Move Association presents the Body Mind Centering® Somatic Movement Education program (SME). Please note the courses can be taken in any order and it is possible to start at any time in the cycle. |
The next course takes place at the wonderful "Egg" Studio, Liverpool John Moores University, Iron Marsh Campus, Barkhill Rd, Aigburth, Liverpool. Please note this campus is not in the city centre. There are local trains (underground) and buses running regularly from the city, Lime Street train station, and Liverpool Airport.
The next courses are; The Reflexes Righting Reactions and Equilibrium Responses and Ontogenetic Development. These courses are also required for students intending to do the Infant Developmental Movement Education program. RRR;The Primitive Reflexes, Righting Reactions and Equilibrium Responses March 31–April 6, 2012. (Day off April 3rd.) £450. Ontogenetic development April 9-13, 2012. Cost £375. |
